Young Tour of Scotland

Each year, prior to the UK Young gathering at the Blairgowrie Highland Games, Douglas Young, our society’s historian, conducts a custom tour of various sites in Scotland that are specifically related to the history of the Youngs. This tour is free for all members of the Youngs of Scotland Society, but it does not include transportation, accommodation or entry fees. Most of the sites we visit are not typical Scottish tour destinations. They could be private homes or battle sites. Pictured here are the members of the 2018 tour visiting a castle that, for many generations, was held by one of our Young families in Kinross.
