Young History
Are you interested in the history of those of our name from ancient times to the 20th century? If so, you may be interested in purchasing one of our two history books. They detail the interesting history of the Youngs and their families from the earliest records to the 20th century. From Adam Young, of Roxburghshire, who was recorded as a witness to a land charter in 1195 AD, to George Young, one of Scotland’s greatest footballers in the 1940s and 50s. The “Mini-edition”, to the left, details a few of the highlights taken from the full “4th edition” of the “Youngs of Scotland” shown on the right. The Mini-edition is a 50 page pocket sized paperback that sells for $10. The hard covered 380 page 4th edition of the Youngs of Scotland, first published in 2000, sells for $80 plus packaging and postage. For more information on either book and availability contact the author, Douglas Young, at clanyoung@hotmail.com. He wrote these books for the love of his surname, and not for profit, so he does not accept credit cards or Paypal, etc. E-transfers or bank drafts, personal cheques or money orders sent by post are the only alternatives to order either book and they are shipped by regular parcel post.
